BBC INTERVIEWS THE SMALL BOAT ABOUT OUR LIMITED EDITION SLEEVE

September is a special month for us, it’s the month Sorrelle’s treatment for Leukemia started in earnest and it is of course the UKs national awareness month for child cancer.

Approximately 2000 children are diagnosed every year and almost half of them under the age of four. Here at Small boat we wanted to do something unique to help support children and raise awareness. It was personally a very moving experience receiving the wonderful pictures from the children on the ward and I thank them and their families for getting involved, thanks also to Smyths Toys for sponsoring the limited edition and then providing the prizes for the children taking part in the sleeve competition.

Enjoy the images, video and radio interview with Michelle Dignan from BBC radio Manchester. I am so very grateful to Michelle and the team at BBC radio Manchester for the opportunity to talk about our special book that continues to support the children’s cancer ward and the children & families who find themselves there.
